Disable modification of some fields

Mykhailo Kotsur
Hi!

Is it possible to make it impossible for CMS user to modify some fields of some document types (they should be changeable only thru Java API).

Mike

Re: Disable modification of some fields

William Borg Barthet
Hi Mykhailo,

it should be possible with the right security configuration [1], although that might be very tricky to set up in this case. Perhaps you can just remove the fields from the document type template, or modify the template to show the fields as labels instead of editable properties.

Regards,

William

Hi Mike,

Rights are assigned on nodes / documents, not on properties.
What you can do though, is not expose the property through the template in the CMS and only allow modification through your code.

Re: Disable modification of some fields

Frank van Lankvelt
alternative if you do want to show it: set the 'mode' property to
'view' on the field plugin configuration.

cheers, Frank
