Once a resource has been bootstrapped into the repository, removing the corresponding entry from the hippoecm-extension.xml file will only have an effect when you bootstrap a fresh repository from your
adjusted bootstrap data. Doing so, you should be careful not to lose changes you made to the repository in the meantime. You may want to read up on the automatic exporter functionality , which helps you keeping repository content and bootstrap data in sync.
If you do not want to re-bootstrap, you'll probably end up deleting all content and configuration that you don't want using the console. Regarding the configuration part, /hst:hst/hst:hosts would probably be the appropriate
place to start such a journey.
thanks for your suggestion. I have deleted all the things related to
channels from my disc like i have deleted all folders under
src/main/resource/content and but still it is showing the channels..
Did you start with a clean repository, or did you reuse an existing one? Or to put it simpler: what is the command you use to start your project? (probably "mvn -P cargo.run ...." etc.)
As Tobias already mentioned, deleting XML snippets from your bootstrap module won't magically delete nodes in an existing repository; you'll have to write some updater or JCR runner code for that, or manually remove the nodes using the console (http://yourhost:8080/cms/console).
